Abstract

This article aims to describe the function of wayang potehi in a multicultural society in the city of Semarang. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study were through observation, interviews, and document studies. The results of the study show that the function of wayang potehi in the multicultural society in Semarang City is a ritual function, an entertainment function, an educational function, a social function, and an economic function.
